If there are too many things start trimming your list. Do one thing at a time. Don't set timelines and countdowns on yourself unless there is an external factor that requires it (like a wedding date booking) :P

Sometimes there isn't a solution. Or sometimes a dodgy solution turns out to be not so bad after all.
Using your brain to try to predict every possible outcome for a given solution is too much for our squishy meats. We are but haunted flesh and bone.
