Competitive drive to me is stronger than the logic that shows I likely did miss my best chances and that I probably shouldn’t still be doing this. It’s the “impossible” sets that inspire me most to do *more*, both in the moment itself and after. I always want to try just one more time.
It’s funny hearing doomer comp mentalities because I’m usually comically opposite. Despite trying and failing for years to break through to the top, I still instinctively listen to the little spark at every opportunity that says “maybe this chance is the one.” I doubt I’d keep at this without that.
