Haven’t had a chance to look too deep into him yet

Rough early ranking, factoring expected contracts

1. Bieber
2. Saiki (if posted)
3. Woodruff
4. SuΓ‘rez
5. King
6. Framber

Think Bieber is clear ahead, 2-5 can flip around

Finding out that Ohtani struggles against low slot lefties makes Erik Miller's success against him make a lot of sense

Bregman after returning from injury (7/11): .250/.338/.386, 100 wRC+, 106.2 max EV, 3.8% barrel%

The Mets already ran a top-5 offense off talent alone, and now one of the best hitting coaches in the game gets to step in

TL;DR is that it's hard to look at Framber's 2023 and not be concerned that his sinker behavior is fragile and that it's going to be hard to circumvent the inevitable velo decline if the sinker gets too efficient with the addition of a cutter

They didn't, which is hardly a surprise, but still quite annoying. (I will be even more annoyed if they decide Framber is worth breaking the rule for this offseason)

Yes. 8-6-2 grounded into double play is the official ruling

Man, it's so weird that it took two offseasons for a team to realize that they should want to pay Blake Snell

They optioned Fitzgerald to give Schmitt an extended run on 6/23, after which Schmitt had an 82 wRC+. I’m supposed to believe they’re OK with penciling that in 2026?

Potentially could be worth not going into the second straight season with a black hole at 2B because of way too much faith in a hot streak from a guy who’s looked unplayable all the times they’ve tried to slide him into an everyday role. But who can really say.

Different ways for it all to shake out, but I’d be really surprised if this doesn’t end up being Brandon Hyde’s job

Bench coach under SD’s next manager, close to home, feels like it would be a nice and comfy job for Hundley. If available

Shota Imanaga’s 2025 was pretty much what I was concerned about when he was coming over. Cubs have a very interesting decision on the option. They could execute 3/$57MM to bring him through age 34, or decline and give him a 1/$15MM player option.

All the β€œShanahan creates a haven for pocket passer QBs” takes fall apart whenever he puts an immobile QB out there and we watch them get crushed under constant pressure

I think it’s a no-brainer they do, but even if not I think he’ll be too expensive for the Giants

11.10.2025 22:07 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Winn, Teng, and Brubaker probably get non-tendered at the start of the offseason. If the Giants really want to do a complete rebuild, they could include those four borderline arms and blitz the cheap depth market like Texas last offseason (went from 27th in bullpen ERA- to 9th)

11.10.2025 20:51 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

What you're starting with: Walker, Miller (assuming health), and Lucchesi open as the 'locks' for the bullpen. Butto and Gage are out of options and are ~fine at the bottom of the bullpen. Peguero and Bivens are optionable depth who ideally don't make the Opening Day roster.

11.10.2025 20:44 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

If they can get enough depth, it should hopefully prevent them from doing the extremely stupid thing they did of shoving their AAA starters into the bullpen for three weeks before asking them to pitch 4 innings in a spot start again.

11.10.2025 20:33 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Quick guess for Giants bullpen plan: Sign Raisel Iglesias or Ryan Helsley, add 1-2 out of the high-K righty camp (Emilio Pagan, Seranthony DomΓnguez, Hunter Harvey, Brad Keller, Luke Weaver). Internal options include Bednar, Black, Harris, Roxby. Pick up east/west oriented NRIs, including 1 LHP.

How many playoff games were started by two pitchers who played for the other team prior in their careers?
