Threw 100 pitches *total* in 9 innings with 27 of those in the first!

Miller looked 100x better innings 2-6.

Feels weird to say but best options for the Mariners might be to be up a lot, or down a lot in the first 3/4 innings.

Either way they could get by with Miller then some combo of Hancock, Ferguson, Vargas, Jackson.

At minimum they’ve shown they can pull a bullpen together, which is what good teams do.

Sure maybe they stay depth guys and they keep them that way. Don’t think many would have guess that they’d be getting where they are with Quantrill & Junk.

Still think Meyer can be pretty good but that’s also assuming his poor starts this year line up with when his hip started bothering him.

Probably, I mean depends on the return. But they have Meyer, Weathers, Garrett healthy next year. Mazur, Gusto in AAA. Snelling has looked really good lately.

I think it’s clear you build around Eury. So they can be a part of that but there are also some good pieces coming soon.

It was against a guy who hit a homer off him earlier in the game. Hahaha

Probably a good thing but also gonna cause stress if you’re keeping an eye out for velo dips.

He’s varied his velo a lot in the minors, will ramp up for the middle of the order etc.

They’ve made some comments on inning limits so I wouldn’t be surprised if it was planned ahead.

Along with something similar moving forward so he’s good for the playoffs.
