I think some people overestimate what % of apolitical people can not only be convinced to take an interest in politics but at the same time could also be convinced to be nearly ideal examples of left wing values

Like if *my* politics are insufficiently left wing for you to deem worthy of feeling any level of comradeship or anything like that with, do you know how hopeless it makes the entire endeavor of left wing politics appear to be?

Like I’ve had a small handful of people for various specific reasons turn on me here and there at the other site, and every time I’m thinking “I am, without question, the most left wing person I know other than *maybe* my brother, do you understand what that means?”
