We have developed a new method, GRAMEP, to identify single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in DNA sequences. Based on the principle of maximum entropy, GRAMEP provides an alignment-free approach, significantly reducing computational time and increasing efficiency in SNP detection.
