They always talk about the lived experiences of the unfortunate, but they close their ears completely when a person who actually lived those experiences tell them about it.
A fencesitter will ALWAYS fall on the right side of the fence, no error. To actively REFUSE to talk about the fucked up state of this world is to silently say what you stand for. No trust in that.
