Yeah, that makes more sense. When I was in my VR phase, I actually remembered seeing a ton of those headsets from HP, Acer, and whoever else made those. All of them were fairly cheap too, actually.

But still, somehow more relevant things than Microsoft has ever put out. IIRC they've pretty much only had 2 as well that only relate to PCs. the Mixed Reality whatever and HoloLens.

Nintendo has done this twice actually, the Virtual Boy and the less talked about Labo VR thing on the Switch that faded into obscurity. the latter is actually wild because you were able to officially play BotW in VR (albeit not amazingly because the Switch has a 720p screen.)
