We have an hour together every week as a team. Sometimes the first 20-25min is taken up with going round & hearing how everyone is & what's going on with everyone. This isnt just 'chat' before the proper work of the meeting begins. Hearing how everyone's doing, & caring, is foundational to our team.

Littlest wants to go to World Book Day as the adjective 'Black'. I darent ask him why that particular adjective. He doesn't seem depressed....

Like most other 90s kids, I spent a good amount of time planning how I would survive if stranded in the wilderness, but it was pretty bold of me to assume I'd be able to catch fish with my bare hands, considering I can't even manage to stab the last olive in the jar with a fork.

Proactively coming together to share feelings & experiences is one of the best things we can do rn to counter the overwhelm. I reliably feel better when I've had a coffee/chat with someone, or when we've checked in as a team. Finding ways to meaningfully connect is a key action in these dark times.
