Small beautiful things I found on the beach when I went there to help my poorly brain yesterday. I’ve collected and arranged precious beach finds like this since I was really small. The process quietens & calms my noisy negative anxious thoughts.

This #book is life changing

I have been gaslit into believing that sleep is β€œlazy”
That sleeping as little as possible is virtuous, a sign of working hard

#WhyWeSleep has shocked me,
explaining why less sleep diminishes our ability to perform to our best….& literally KILLS US

Learning happens in all sorts of places, sometimes unexpected, and development rarely follows a straightforward path.

It’s grift.

And it’s unethical when marketed as a treatment for mental health concerns.

This photograph captures Sir David Attenborough seated outdoors on the rugged terrain of Skomer Island. Behind him, the ocean and coastal cliffs form a scenic backdrop under a clear sky. Sir David, dressed in a khaki jacket and light trousers, looks towards the camera with a gentle expression, exuding a sense of warmth, calm, and wisdom. Around him, puffins can be seen flying and perched on the rocky ground, illuminated in rays of golden sunlight as the sun sets behind the cliffs.

Sir David Attenborough, thank you for a lifetime dedicated to the natural world, and for sharing its story with wisdom, wonder, and grace.

You've inspired generations to fall in love with nature.

RFK Jr. will require shift in how new vaccines are tested, HHS says The potential change outlined in a statement would require all new vaccines to undergo placebo testing, sparking concerns among medical experts.

If this asshole understood fucking anything he’d know we have very strong statistical techniques that make placebo testing unnecessary and we know vaccines work so leaving people unprotected is profoundly unethical

Mississippi libraries ordered to delete academic research in response to state laws - Mississippi Today The two research collections state officials ordered for deletion included material from professional journals, conference papers, books, student dissertations, periodicals and newspaper articles.

This is the literal destruction of knowledge.

Mississippi libraries are being ordered to remove academic research on race and gender from library databases.

We have an hour together every week as a team. Sometimes the first 20-25min is taken up with going round & hearing how everyone is & what's going on with everyone. This isnt just 'chat' before the proper work of the meeting begins. Hearing how everyone's doing, & caring, is foundational to our team.

Like most other 90s kids, I spent a good amount of time planning how I would survive if stranded in the wilderness, but it was pretty bold of me to assume I'd be able to catch fish with my bare hands, considering I can't even manage to stab the last olive in the jar with a fork.

Proactively coming together to share feelings & experiences is one of the best things we can do rn to counter the overwhelm. I reliably feel better when I've had a coffee/chat with someone, or when we've checked in as a team. Finding ways to meaningfully connect is a key action in these dark times.
