I don't want my fridge to have a camera or Wi-Fi. I don't want my dishwasher to be smart. I don't want my washing machine to text me.

In fact, I kinda miss knobs and dials and knowing big appliances would last 20 years and could still be repaired.

Successfully managed to write today! I wish Butt-in-Chair was not the only method that works, but unfortunately that's proving to be true.

I avoided writing my novel today by cleaning and rearranging these shelves. I try to keep my procrastination productive.

In the hustle and bustle of the holidays, it forgot to mention where to find my latest blackout collages. Shoutout to The Headlight Review for publishing this set called "Bliss."

No picture to prove it, but I am back on track for TRWP. It was like pulling teeth to get started, and my kids were hellions for a chunk of the day, but we made it happen!

Mine checks most of these boxes, but unfortunately, it's not ready just yet. Hopefully by summer. I hope you find what you're looking for!

Most of these were audiobooks, which is definitely a new thing for me! Honestly surprised at how many books I got through this year.

Ya girl did it! It's messy and imperfect, but i made my first journal!

Spent yesterday going over goals for the new year, but now it's officially vacation and I'm ignoring all my responsibilities and making a junk journal instead.

I just love a good kindergarten motor skills inspired craft! My house is a DISASTER.

I will! When I discovered that security envelopes had patterns inside of them, I was so excited 😆

I keep the inside of security envelopes for collages bc they are interesting. Tonight my husband offered me this from his stack of mail and it is better than a dozen roses! I've never seen this pattern before!

Stuck in a scene? Do what the pros do: use brackets. Write what the story beat is:

[Our hero gets out of the fight through clever means]

Then just keep writing what happens after. Maintaining momentum is key to getting the most words on the page. Meanwhile solutions often present themselves later.

I feel like it would take a lot of skill to create fun stories within such small word counts!

Chair update!

Last night we attended our 2nd Thanksgiving meal and a woman that i had no clue had read my book was giddy to meet me! She actually fangirled and I was thrilled! She also mentioned she does a lot of advocacy work and my book aligned with her heart. ❤️😊❤️
