I’m interpreting this week’s events as the uncle of 2x 16 year old boys who don’t get B’s in West Virginia public schools. First week out of summer break I’m taking everyone to OBX to be a good influence and buy them stuff in case their dumb asses sign up for a holy war for morons. No ASMS for me.

@ypriverol.bsky.social can probably help. I only know of one olink repository, but I remember him saying they had several, but maybe it isn’t streamlined yet?

The TMT on a TimsTOF paper was rejected 6 times. Half of those were because β€œMS3 is necessary for good quan.” The other half was because the first author is a mediocre scientist and writer. He was worse then.

I handed in my keys to my labs to Johns Hopkins at 2pm and my email was GONE by 8am the next day. It was life altering but it reinforced that leaving was the right decision. Program officers love their emails bouncing. It makes a place seem kind, organized and professional.

Here it comes! The β€œyou never actually needed MS3 to do multiplexing, y’all are just so bad at math that we made $3 billion selling you slow ass instruments and retarding the development of proteomics as a field” paper #1!

Free ChatGPT gets super snarky about delivering prime numbers in 10,000 number bins. If you really need the first 100 billion right now there probably is no easy option. πŸ¦žπŸ¦€

I have an older version I run locally on LLM Studio. It’s physically sandboxed and doesn’t know it. On an M4 with 24GB it runs as fast as the service I used to pay for.

#USHUPO - you can still pitch your lab to get CVs from the amazing pool of ECRs here this (Tuesday) evening! It’s so worth it. Post your interest on the app, drop by or ask a student researcher. Can’t find them? @amandalsmythers.bsky.social and I can help!
