1 of the reasons the market freaked out at normal historical interest rates is because a generation had never experienced rates over 0. I dont know if any trader under 40 actually understands that the market can go down sometimes, so they no longer process information (like the war) as actual risks
What freaks me out is the market no longer goes down. Since the bottom of the great recession there have been 2 bear markets- the covid spike and the rate increase panic. It's been 17 years. That's not normal. We have generations now trained under effectively 1 market behavior
