Ran out, added 50 more.
One day at ECCC: way too much and yet not enough. My, how it's grown over the years.
(I really hurt, y'all.)
Good times!
Lush’s final LP ‘Lovelife’ was released 30 years ago today via 4AD. 💿 Produced by the band with Pete Bartlett, it features Pulp’s Jarvis Cocker on “Ciao!” and their three highest-charting UK singles: “Single Girl,” “Ladykillers,” and “500 (Shake Baby Shake).”

The horrors continue, and so do I. I'm back Thursday morning with a show about blue-- the color, the genre, and the mood.

I tried to explain this to a few folks, but this excerpt from the Public Domain Screening Party is the best way to get an idea of this artist's work with mysticism, collage, and the public domain. Check it out!
Kaleidoscope Mixtape is off today due to family emergency.
I started to put together a Shoegaze / Psychedelia show, and I'm eager to follow through on that one-- stay tuned!
Howdy, friends. In just 40 short minutes, VOID 1680 AM will be broadcasting WNRV from the northwoods of Wisconsin. Join your DJ, the Archivist, for songs from Simon & Garfunkel, Radiohead, Death Cab for Cutie and more.

I just put it up on the mixcloud page for you, it should be available in a few minutes. :)
Running without a plan, but looks like we're skewing toward trip hop and dark indie today.

Thanks to those who dropped in to hear the music. It was pretty smooth, but it seemed like all streams disconnected once or twice. Reconnecting was easy. I'm confident that it'll only get better over time.
I'll be streaming again soon. :D
🔴 LIVE https://stream.place/khxwradio.bsky.social Let's test this baby out with some tunes...
I'm on again this morning, still with a stuffy nose, and songs I couldn't get to last week-- more tracks about revolution and liberation-- all very precedented indeed.
You can listen to Kaleidoscope Mixtape at 9am Pacific on:
ShoutingFire.com or
Mixcloud.com/live/leenerella
They say history never repeats itself, but it often rhymes.
I’m playing songs for precedented times on my radio show “Kaleidoscope Mixtape,” Thursday, Jan 8, at 9am Pacific, on shoutingfire.com
I have a few small ideas about all of this, but don't want to info dump non-consensually. Hit me up if you are interested in kicking some ideas around...
I LOVE me some old music, but anyone saying that music now is boring is only listening to what's being served up by the beige profit machine.
Seek out independent music-- it's just what we need. You've just become unaccustomed to looking for it, and we need to share it with our friends again.
I realized one of the things I like so much about this is that I'm actively listening to music again-- the way we did when we were kids back in the last century, and we would call each other up and ask, "Wanna come over and listen to music?" I've been thinking about that a lot lately.
Well, write it down-- never too many games!
This is a broadcast of the product of a solo RPG, where you are a DJ and you create a radio show based on cards, dice, and prompts.
Love to listen to the shows that other players create. The next one starts in a few minutes.
Almost ready to record my first one...
On New Year's Day, I will attempt to bolster you with songs that make you feel powerful, and express to the world that we will take no shit.

This week on Kaleidoscope Mixtape: I temper my love/hate relationship with Christmas music on Thursday morning with a long set of seasonal electro lounge tracks. All the best mid-century hits, remixed with electronic chill, as your morning soundtrack. 9-11 am Pacific on shoutingfire.com
