Back in LA for the weekend too. Feels weird to be away from Seattle when the weather is great, and there’s a great new bike path to explore.

You might look at how the EPA (at least in the past) monitored petroleum refining in Texas.

Vision Zero means cancelling all physical speed control infrastructure and all stop signs on a corridor where there were two hit and run crashes in the last three weekends.

Trump tax bill an 'abomination,' Gov. Ferguson says Gov. Bob Ferguson said he'll consider whether to call lawmakers back for a special session due to massive cuts in the GOP tax bill to Medicaid and other funds.

A special session is clearly necessary - and there is simply no other option than new taxes on the rich and big corporations. Dems should not expect to come back from Olympia without it.

Seattle Parks held a public forum in December to hear public feedback on the next stage of traffic calming for Lake Washington Boulevard. These are basic, minimum-level changes on a street where the city knows everyone is speeding.

What happened next is: nothing.

@seattledot.bsky.social 2 pedestrian signs vandalized on a bike pathway at 18th and Marion. Not far from the school. Filed a find it fix it ticket. Sad to see this antisocial behavior.

Yes- separate the pedestrians from the shops with a fence and barrier and line of cars, by forcing them through a constricted space.

If you ever donated to Share The Cities for our work on land use from 2016-2023 please consider supporting @sngreenways.bsky.social who in addition to all their safe streets advocacy have also been doing great on land use.

If the agent of an embittered KGB officer somehow won the US presidency and entered into the office bent on destroying the USA in its national influence, network of alliances, and the American people’s quality of life, what would he be doing differently?

Councilmember Rob Saka’s office declined to make himself or his staff available for an April meeting to discuss public bathrooms.

🚽

We wanted to work *with* them. How hard would it have been for them to say yes?

Voters want to have their cake and eat it too. Our council has the same problems of the senate where the groups represented don’t align with the population.

I don’t align with the mostly anti-jumpstart, pro-chamber, slow housing growth, anti-bike, bad transit policy council, but I do admit it looks like a miserable job. It’s a product of our system when we have off year elections, and when older homeowners vote more than young people and renters.
