Book lover. Other loves include my husband, my Furred Ones, my work, and my family. Oh yes, and a little thing called human rights. Letβs try not to lose them! π«DMs unless I say itβs ok.

13.07.2025 19:35 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Iβm reading something light first before diving back in with that next. Iβm looking forward to it!
06.07.2025 13:42 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Itβs so good, but ch 21 in particular is full of graphic descriptions of war atrocities. That whole chapter is a giant trigger warning. I wonβt ever re-read that one chapter even if I re-read the book. But otherwise the book is excellent.
06.07.2025 13:41 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yes, it was. It was literally a Take No Prisoners scene.
06.07.2025 03:29 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0But if youβre going to read The Poppy War pay attention to TWs. Ch. 21 by itself is every trigger warning there is. #BookSky
06.07.2025 02:49 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The Poppy War. Compelling and horrifying. Rin frustrates but her motives are understandable. She is surrounded by good but equally flawed characters. Despite the nightmarish quality of some parts, I give this 5 βοΈ The way it immersed me & made me feel with and for the characters was stellar. #BookSky

Yes it was! Sad and sweet. Loved Tabbyβs sassiness and Rhysβ vulnerability. Surprised that I liked a story involving wrestling. Have greater appreciation now. Still not a fan, but wonβt make fun like I used to either. π

03.07.2025 16:30 β π 12 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Of these Iβve read To Kill a Mockingbird, Ann Frank, Animal Farm and The Hunger Games.

02.07.2025 16:04 β π 7 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I need to be paid super well to read only the books that interest me. That would be perfect. #BookSky ππ
01.07.2025 21:13 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The fourth book in the Empyrean series wonβt be out until late next year or 2027 because of time with family and other projects including adaptation for TV. I would rather she spent time with family and skip adaptation to write. Prefer my imagination and want next book! π #BookSky ππ

*Spoilerish*
The war has started. I have theories about Rinβs origins and who Jiang is. Wonβt say anything here so I donβt spoil, but I have thoughts. Rin is getting kind of obnoxious re: Phoenix and power. #BookSky ππ
Good to know. I already hate Jun and Iβm only about 15% in.

My husband buried Brody in his toys. You can see how thrilled he is about it π
29.06.2025 19:33 β π 12 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Thatβs what Iβve heard. Iβve had the book for awhile but had to mentally prepare for it as much as one can I suppose. Iβll post my thoughts as I go along Iβm sure.

Next up: The Poppy War. A lot of people I know are reading it now so Iβll join them. #BookSky
29.06.2025 16:27 β π 13 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Summer Sons was a lot better than I expected. I figured out whodunnit long before the reveal, but it was still an intense confrontation. The relationships were raw and gritty and realistic. Ultimately sad and hopeful. If you like queer southern gothic horror, this is a great read. #BookSky

28.06.2025 19:02 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ok, halfway through Summer Sons and itβs getting better. More focus on the mystery, which is what interests me. Itβs still not my favorite read but thankfully am enjoying it more. #BookSky ππ

27.06.2025 19:08 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This was such a fun book. I still detest the villains π
27.06.2025 17:42 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Both of those are excellent series. For romantasy you might try Fourth Wing or Quicksilver. Good luck!
27.06.2025 17:05 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Am reading Summer Sons at someoneβs request. This is so not me. I like the mystery and ghost vibe but can definitely do without drug using, street racing bad boys. That just bores me. I am not the target audience. Just trying to get through this. #BookSky
27.06.2025 03:13 β π 7 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Finished βSeven Year Itch.β I liked Calder, Dakota got better overall, and the story was good, but this wasnβt my favorite. Iβll still read Lukeβs story when it comes out. Daws is good at getting me invested. #BookSky ππ
