Trying to get back in the habit of bashing out some rough/scribbly sketches in between more developed works.

Working on my landscape skills and decided to put a mech in it.
18.11.2025 18:57 โ ๐ 602 ๐ 184 ๐ฌ 15 ๐ 1A few more small ink sketches. I got a couple of pleasant colors during the month, but didn't want to disrupt my normal monochrome format during the daily challenge.

Extra art: Gwen back in her adventuring days. She was originally the protagonist of an abandoned fantasy story that I worked on back in 2010-2014.
Of my roster of characters Gwen was always my Mom's favorite, so it's important to me that I keep her around in some capacity.

Inktober 31: Endless Tower
At the heart of the world, an impossible white tower stands from the sea. The sight of it on the horizon inspires a feeling of grave importance, though none can say exactly why.

Happy Halloween!
31.10.2025 18:53 โ ๐ 128 ๐ 27 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Inktober 30: Skirmisher
A hit-and-run attacker whose proficiency in a broad array of non-magical arms affords him unparalleled versatility. A skirmisher can always be counted on to have the right tool for the job.

Inktober 29: Stone and Seas
At the Northern end of the world is a forbidding land of barren stone and ice, where the farthest feet of the Dragon's Mount march into the sea.

Inktober 28: Brawler Crab
An enormous crab with clubbed claws and a goring horn, that can grow to the size of two men. They are hardy and adaptable, and quickly become a menace to coastal peoples unless regularly culled.

Funny enough, it's actually very conventional in a roundabout way, that being an interpretation of the "crystal ball"
29.10.2025 07:26 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Inktober 27: Waterfall Gate
A truly vast complex burrowed into the cliffs. The outer halls are well enough documented that local adventurers will sometimes practice their charting and navigation here. The deepest halls remain to be seen.

Inktober 26: Casting Orb
While the exact mechanism is not known, something about the sphere's compact geometry makes it well suited to channeling powerful attack spells.

Inktober 25: Aultin Lodge
A large inn which offers those travelling the eponymous Aultin Pass a warm and neatly-kept refuge from chill and biting winds.

Inktober 24: Windstep
A finely-crafted antique sidearm, patterned after a legendary sword.
Its distinctive enchanneling wreathes its blade in shimmering air when drawn.

Inktober 23: Smoke Pipe

Inktober 22: Solar Stratum

Inktober 21: Ranger
(I decided to test a semi-lineless process on this one. Labor-intensive relative to the results, though I do think it looks nice.)

Inktober 20: Secret Path

Inktober 19: Small Focus
A miniature casting focus.
Useful for casting enchantments and small spells of convenience, but unsuited to sustained or heavier-duty work.

Inktober 18: Seashell Necklace
A treasured token of affection.
It is fashioned of inexpensive materials, by inexperienced hands. Yet, it was clearly made with a great deal of care.

Inktober 17: Secret Beach
#art #traditionalart #inktober2025
Inktober 16: Breaker
The first (and frequently last) word in melee striking power, the savage arc of a Breaker's two-hander leaves monsters reeling and smaller foes flat on the ground.
#art #traditionalart #inktober2025
Inktober 15: Long Rest
A great deal of overland adventuring is just finding safe, and ideally cozy, places to eat and sleep.
#art #traditionalart #inktober2025
Fighting helms generally have ear-covers, but made of a pliant material like leather or treated cloth. Tough enough to protect from abrasions and glances, but flexible enough that you wouldn't have the whole helm spun or tilted from a hit to the ear.
16.10.2025 21:21 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Inktober 14: Elf Helm
The fixed rigid ear-flanges identify this as a ceremonial helm. Wear-and-tear suggests that it has nevertheless seen practical use.

Inktober 13: Plasma
#art #traditionalart #inktober2025
I was thinking about amphorae while sketching these, but I didn't have any specific references pulled up.
14.10.2025 06:54 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Inktober 12: Standing Stones
In the rolling planes of the South, a wide arc is traced by a series of blocks carved with a solar motif.
