Aw! Thanks so much Prachi. It has more than proven it can champion children's health but it's beyond anything I could have imagined to see it recognised in EAT @thelancet.com

A 'fat free' Britain by 2035? Slim chance of that
It seems fair to say this government, turning one year old this week, has not yet achieved a reputation for speedy resolution of major national crises. Yet within the new 10 Year Health Plan is a radi...
"People want the government to go big on food and health, but to do so politicians must listen to their predecessors: be bold, implement fast and donโt reach next election wishing you had done more."

Three big circles filled with different brands sports sponsorships - two big ones focus on energy drinks and junk food, and a smaller one on soft drinks
Staggering number of unhealthy foods sport sponsorships in new @bmj.com report. Energy drinks football sponsorship alone grew 17% from 2023 to 24. It's a fast growing area currently untouched by regulation but govt quoted as saying they have no plans to do so.

It all should have been so simple - bring in advertising restrictions as planned.
And yet, industry's shady tactics won out yet again.
How on earth did we got here? Listen in to find out.
Huge thanks to @foodfoundation.bsky.social for giving me the opportunity to share this wild story.
