11.06.2025 10:23 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Denmark is best in EU in getting workers back into jobs (twice the average rate). They also do tons of RCTs to find out what works and apply behavior science. Canโt say itโs causal, but itโs an interesting correlation at least.
10.06.2025 19:12 โ ๐ 8 ๐ 3 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 1I have been thinking whether I can somehow include it in my fall class, but its a bit far off topic for that one. But Iโll recommend it to others and my students in general. I shared it on LinkedIn a while back as well to counter the hype.
08.06.2025 18:33 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I still have one of your โbullshitโ talks (from 2021) as a homework assignment for my students and have them choose their favorite bullshit examples and then we discuss them in class. 27.05.2025 09:54 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0Excited to host Benjamin Enke as this yearโs Zeuthen lecturer the University of Copenhagen. The lectures run over three days and are complemented by a workshop on the cognitive foundations of decision making.
27.05.2025 08:11 โ ๐ 7 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Our publication on how multi-buy offers increase unplanned overbuying and how this can increase food waste at home is out and open-access! This was probably one of the most complicated field experiments I ever ran, but also one I am very proud of: rdcu.be/enmFi
26.05.2025 09:32 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Thanks, that one indeed looks good. But also here itโs more a lab in the field experiment with clearly defined tasks. It is not obvious that the productivity gains will translate to real legal work and thus markedly increase productivity. But itโs a good step.
17.05.2025 18:49 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Only one year after replacing their customer service and marketing team with AI agents, Klarna is regretting the decision and trying to re-hire workers. The quality was just too low to justify the cost-savings. So looks like AI isn't taking your job, just yet. futurism.com/klarna-opena...
17.05.2025 11:28 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 2 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0This also raises some questions about PhD supervision and data protection at MIT - some supervisor would have needed to sign a data sharing agreement and a secure server would have been needed for the data. Thatโs a lot of paperwork.
17.05.2025 10:28 โ ๐ 32 ๐ 7 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The retracted study showed impacts on patents filed - something that would really matter for a firm's bottom line. A new Danish study also shows no effects on labor market outcomes www.nber.org/papers/w33777
16.05.2025 20:05 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I think the study is interesting, but the total time of the study was 5 hours, the tasks were carefully chosen, and the consultants who participated selected. I think there is no doubt that AI can speed up coding or writing, but I haven't seen much on how that impacts firm productivity.
16.05.2025 20:03 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0And harm to the companies using results like this to spend billions on tools that don't work. So far there is very little evidence that AI tools increase productivity for complex tasks. This fake study was one of the only ones.
16.05.2025 19:26 โ ๐ 6 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0One of the best AI papers on productivity turned out to be made up - so disappointing! I really liked the paper and had it saved as โbest paper on AIโ. Too good to be true! As much of AI claims to fame. www.msn.com/en-us/money/...
