I spotted some dickite today (or as @ichnologist.bsky.social prefers to call it, richardite). It's a clay mineral named after the Scottish chemist Allan Brugh Dick (1833-1926) who first described it. Dickite is soft (2-2.5 Mohs hardness) and can be scratched with a fingernail #minerals ⚒️🧪
