UCP MLA Nathan Neudorf wants Lethbridge carved into 3-4 big rural-urban ridings
I read all 197 submissions to Alberta’s Electoral Boundaries Commission so you don’t have to
The fix is in for gerrymandering the Lethbridge West constituency out of existence.
They can’t win it fair and square so now they’ll cheat.
It’s highly unusual for a member of cabinet to intervene in an electoral boundaries process.

Legally, Smith has 6 months to call it, and Rachel resigned Dec 30. Generally, the classy thing to do (by convention) is to get the Opposition Leader into the House right away. Instead, Smith is waiting as long as is legal. She did the same with Leth West byelection.
No respect for the office.

Alberta’s provincial election will be held by mid-2026.
The UCP will manufacture disagreements with Ottawa and off they’ll go.
That’s what I just heard from Danielle Smith. This wasn’t a Premier’s Televised Address so much as it was a starting gun for @albertaNDP and @nenshi.

Southern Alberta’s 20+ years of low vaccination uptake coming home to roost.
There was a measles outbreak down here when my 14yo was a baby and his brother, at 2ish, was in daycare.
I lived in fear until I could get that baby vaccinated.
This is so much worse.

Inside an Australian Miner’s Brawl with Alberta Regulators | The Tyee
Told to monitor pollution, Montem issued insults and legal threats, documents reveal.
This story is such a cautionary tale for coal mining in Alberta…
After a foreign company was told they would need an environmental assessment for a coal mine, they had an epic temper tantrum and it took the AER 2 Years to address it!

And the cuts just keep on coming.
Alberta Children & Family Services have now cut Child & Youth Support.
For how adamant Smith & the UCP were that kids need to be supported and protected a year ago, they sure seem to consistently be making them targets…

They should do it. I’d love to see it.

Disability advocates say Alberta government is ‘clawing back’ benefits | Globalnews.ca
Some disability advocates say the Alberta government is clawing back a federal disability benefit, but the province disputes the claim.
“in June, eligible Canadians can claim up to $200 per month in financial support through the Canada Disability Benefit (CDB).
Inclusion Alberta says the provincial government is taking the money away from Albertans who receive AISH.”

Today, we learned that the UCP government fired the entire AHS Board on the same day they were set to receive a report on shady contracts.
Now, new allegations point to political interference, corruption, and kickbacks at the highest levels. /1

Let’s make sure we use our tariff revenues to stabilize the economy…
…which in the first instance means meeting folks’ basic needs: expanding benefits for groceries/essentials, building and maintaining/retrofitting/improving affordable housing, affordable public transportation.
That’s Job One.

Minister Loewen had previous financial interest in a hunter guide outfitting business which is now owned by his son. These outfits are benefitting financially from increased hunting, which is in keeping with the UCP's pattern of corruption to reap personal benefits across ministries.

I know this first hand. When I was a child, my entire community was branded as spies and sabateurs, justifying our internment inside barbed wire camps for years without due process, trial or charge.

Government irresponsibility has consequences.
The UCP’s junk science and fearmongering have eroded trust in vaccines—now, measles cases are rising, and kids’ lives are at risk. This is completely preventable.
Parents, get your kids vaccinated.

This is Winston Churchill visiting Washington DC to request assistance in the war against Germany. Notice he is wearing a "zip suit" and not a traditional suit. This was to honor the British troops--the same reason Zelensky dresses the way he does.
