I had a tiny amount of that for one of my relatives. My different family members' new Ancestry and 23 & Me ethnicities have been so accurate, especially Ukraine, Poland, Sweden, and a bio Ulster Scot grandmother. My aunt's are correct to the county in Romania. My mom's Colonial USA are broad UK.

I just read your introduction to The Sopranos Sessions. I recently started watching it (6th time) with my 27 y/o son; I skipped his teens because he wasn't ready for broad themes. Sunday, during an episode, he got up, said "you waited 25 years. Thank you, Mother," and he kissed my forehead. ❀️

Not really an overstatement to say that the test of a free society is whether or not comedians can make fun of the country's leader on TV without repurcussions.

Great Britain’s economy didn’t completely tank after Romans left, countering conventional wisdom β€œCompletely surprising” discovery based on ancient pollutants suggests mining and smelting continued apace for centuries

3/3 Ancient pollution from mines and smelting shows that Britain's economy did not suffer when the Romans left in 410 AD. Metal production rose for the following two centuries. A fascinating mix of #geochemistry and #archaeology 🏺 reported by @evoscribe.bsky.social.

This book is on my TBR pile. My grandpa's cousin was living in Argentina when the country's leaders started disappearing people by the thousands. They had to return to the US. Awful times.

Sorry, it was my dad's test that was shocker. His dad wasn't his bio parent. My dad took it well, but my brother was a mess. I was so upset because my mother wouldn't stop telling people.

This happened to me. I was so shocked, I told my mother. Big mistake. Take time, days or weeks to process this knowledge. I could have gone the rest of my life without telling anyone, which would have been best for my family.

My father-in-law sent the kids to their rooms and recorded Nixon resigning with a cassette player. He went apesh*t a few years later when one of the kids recorded radio music over it. #1970sProblems

I wasn't sure if they were the same. Thanks for clearing that up. I had my wedding photographer take a picture of me with these two Rusyn women. They were so nice. I need to read my father-in-law's book, which I inherited. He was so excited to get this book.
