Completed runs with the Ironclad and the Silent, played a bit of the 3rd character, and have made it to the 3rd day boss with the 4th--whom I just love (not naming either for StS1 players who want to be surprised). Have unlocked but not played the 5th character, who also returns from the first game.
My sweet made the very real mistake of getting me the Slay the Spire 2 early access. I was just going to wait for the 1.0 for it to take over my life, but now it's already happened: 30 hours played in a week.
I saw him again. The Carfax fox. Those eyes. He's terrifying.
Hey horror kiddies: King Sorrow, one of the best (and certainly the biggest!) horror novels of last year, still only in hardcover, is on sale as an ebook right now for $1.99.

Only a couple of hours in, but RE9uiem is so fucking good. The perfect synthesis of everything they've done post- Biohazard. It's also stunning.
The world could be such a nice place if we allowed it. It's all so goddamn unnecessary. There's no need for any of it. It's so beautiful here. It should be so cool to be alive
UPDATE: this show was good.
good thing we went for the anti-war candidate, right guys?
technocracy never
He clearly had his AI watch CGP Grey's "Humans Need Not Apply" for him, because as Grey points out, once horses were replaced by machines the number of them in existence cratered.

Happy 40th birthday to The Legend of Zelda, without whom my life (and profile picture) would have turned out very, very differently.
(The existence of these tumblers is, in fact, why crypto is so useful for money laundering, blackmail, drug deals, and other illegal activities)
Was thinking about Simon Willison's claim that LLMs are just "money laundering for copyrighted data" and I realized that they work in a similar way and serve the same purpose as crypto-coin tumblers: they mix all the stolen stuff up in a big messy stew so no one can ever trace it back to its source.

Here is the segment that they aired instead, which is itself very worth watching: www.youtube.com/watch?v=oh7D...
In a very cool, normal, and non-Authoritarian way, the regime had its friends at CBS not air this interviews.

and it's Rosson, my apologies.
Hey horror readers, Keith Rossum's *Coffin Moon*--widely held as the best contemporary vampire novel--is $1.99 now on the Kobo store (and probably the other place, but I haven't checked). I'm definitely reading it next.
New anthem just dropped. Take heart friends.
"I had lost sight of it, lost sight of hope
because innocent people were killed
by people in masks, hiding their faces,
their shame parading as providence,
their weakness posing as policy."
War never changes.
Blizzard is redoing the D4 skill trees, and there's some interesting stuff there.
But I still prefer the elegance of Diablo 3's system. Wish they would have innovated on it instead of regressing to point spending.
