If you haven't read it I highly recommend picking up the first volume. Similar to his licensed books (Flintstones, snaglepuss) Mark Russell brings humanity and depth to a story I wasn't initially excited for. If you aren't checking out Mad Cave or Ahoy comics right now you are really missing out.

One of the themes of Dog Tag is how fascism always turns into disaster. Another theme being that it’s never too late to recognize that fact and start again.

Kindness is treating people well even when there's no transaction involved. When that person has no power or leverage over you, when there are no optics involved, and no reward beyond just getting to live in a world where kindness exists.

There was a local news segment about Siri, a long time ago when it was brand new, and the newscaster, as part of the segment, said, "Siri, order a pepperoni pizza!" And like fifty pizzas were ordered across the town to homes that had Siri active.

I HATE that.

Watching a movie where the president has to make the sobering announcement to the nation about an asteroid heading toward Earth and can’t stop wondering what it would look like if Trump had to do that.

I experienced the same righteous anger.
