Weren't people playing this in early builds of Sky Striker just to get 3 spells in grave on turn one?
I don't remember if they stopped because we got some better spells, or because they realized this was bad.

A lot of people don't remember this, but very early Branded builds played this as a 1-of. You'd send it to grave with Branded Fusion, and then use Albion to make Dragoon using itself and this.
As soon as we got a 2nd wave of Branded support, this was the first thing people cut.

I feel like this is also the position Democratic politicians should be taking when they talk on TV.
They need to stop playing defense. Stop treating ICE as if it's a legitimate form of power, and make it clear that they are violating the constitution on a daily basis.

This argument has less to do with arguing against fascists themselves, and more to do with swaying anyone who can still be swayed.

In light of recent events, I've been seeing a lot of otherwise apolitical people wading into discussions, and many don't seem to understand how bad ICE really is.

It drives me mad seeing people give up this ground and argue against ICE as if it were a legitimate branch of law enforcement simply doing its job.
It's not. They are clearly violating the Constitution. Opposing ICE is not only morally correct, it's legally correct. They have no leg to stand on.

Quick reminder that what ICE is doing is ILLEGAL.
It violates the 4th and 5th amendments. They are grabbing people without warrant & denying them a fair trial.
Every argument of "the protesters should comply" should be met with "Why should they comply with a criminal"

I was confused too. Apparently what that means is you can take a card from your side deck and bring it into play lol.

In Commander Format there is no side deck though, so essentially all it does is recover exiled cards.

Not that it matters, I'm only really using it for the first effect.

After a day like this, it feels foolish to be talking about something as trivial as Maxx C.
But I won't let the weight of the world grind me down. I will continue to live my life, pushing against the small problems and the big ones.

There's lots of creatures that could drive it.
My favorite options though are:
- Clown Robot
- Karn
- Ulamog, The Defiler
- A Land Somehow

Both are funny options, but I do still need a way to win the game, which means if I get go with an equip it needs to be able to get the car up to 21.
Excalibur will probably be worth it since the cost will be so low late game, but I'm not so sure about the Spike.

Car deck is coming along nicely.
It's not very good mechanically, but trying to imagine this scenario play out makes me giggle.
- Karn brings CAR to life.
- CAR somehow equips the cursed longsword.
- CAR hops aboard a magic carpet, soaring over your army of zombies to run you down personally.

Despite everything I continue to work.
Poll for next month's Ladder Climb is in full swing and it's a tight race between 2 decks in particular. Should be interesting however it shakes out.

The appeal of Commander format, for me, is sitting around a table with 3 other friends and playing a big, slow, four-person game where there's a lot of politicing about who should attack who and when.

Went with Melodious this time, which works pretty well. Here's my list if you're curious. The hardest part was finding enough legal handtraps to include. I wouldn't recommend Gnomaterial unless you already own it for some reason lol
