I went to the city for an exhibition, then had dinner and ice cream and now I'm back! It was fun but I just know I won't be able to drag myself out of the house to study tomorrow X3

Sure, he could do interesting and horrible things to Shamrock, I'd love to see it, but would that ever tilt over into a fulfilling loving relationship? X'D Maybe in a sillier AU it could (and lots of my AUs are silly) But yeah, he gets pulled into the Monkey D family, whether he wants it or not!

I do feel bad for Doffy in my AUs!! But I have a hard time figuring out if he could even really love anyone - Croc is the most likely choice. But if Croc's with Dragon, who else could hold Doffy's attention?

Tere's the Tontatta who can make all sorts of things grow and they are connected to Dressrosa which is the Donquixote homeland but that probably doesn't really provide enough for some Doffy forest explorations...

The only thing I could think of is the contrast of the living forest and seemingly barren desert, of some sort of loss that Croc has to deal with but that's not really forest-pagan-shaman vibes either... And there really aren't a lot of "greenery" DFs...

I was thinking about the lack of forest characters too! I listened to Belladonna and yes, I get the forest-pagan-shaman vibes. We are we supposed to go with all the forest imagery if Crocodile's going to glare at us from his desert? Diversify, Crocodile! Enjoy some trees and grass and moss!

I was asked on tumblr to draw someone showing Doffy some love because in my AUs he "lost" Croc & people voted Shamrock should date Cora instead of him. When I thought "but who will love him?" P.J. Harvey's song "Who Will Love Me Now" flashed through my mind. Now I need to ponder what blorbo it fits.

It's Tuesday, I'm at the uni library. I've spent the Fasnacht's week just reading so now I'm going to have to find my way back into actual dissertation work. I want to write fanfic though... It has to be a reward for later...!!

Right now I'm just throwing an idea at my word document and I don't know who these versions of the characters are yet X'D But it's fun and now it's after 1 AM and I'm still not in bed >w<

I wrote 3000 words of Kuja Croc fic instead of preparing for tomorrow. Oh well. Sacrifices must be made for fic writing.

Haha, yes!! Very few things shock Crocodile anymore, he's seen too much in those 8 years with Rocks...!

(But then again, on first glance Doffy's fruit isn't particularly impressive, but what he makes with it is both very clever and genuinely horrifying. So maybe even a storm paramecia when used by Dragon might be cool.)

Yeah, I wonder about Dragon. I'm 99% sure he's got a devil fruit just because of how his return to his ship with kid!Sabo was drawn, with him emerging from the wind/ clouds whatever. What are you, Dragon? Are we hyping him up more than we should by assuming he's something cool? X'D

The German translation often deviates quite a bit from the original (like that example of the RA not coming for Robin because she was working for Crocodile. German manga readers just have a different canon *lol*) Bamboozled by the German translation again...!!! "Cryptid dino fruit" pff.

Got distracted from fic writing by the new OP chapter and the German translation picked a different mythical zoan type than the other translations (I could read). It's a dinosaur type in German but a dragon type in English and French - so I assume dragon type is correct...

How is it already 4PM on Sunday again? Time to write fanfic!

Haha, yes, he is completely unaffected! But yes, bribery with meat/food is way harder to resist (also because Crocodile probably also got Luffy and Dragon to behave with the promise of food. X'D)

I also don't know what it's called either! X'D I do kind of want to explore Kuja!Croc in fic form one day but I don't really have plans. I thought about doing something angsty with love-sickness as that seems to be the most obvious path to take. But then again, do I want that angst? X'D
