I heard about this recently. I think it was a brilliant piece of work. Too bad Gichigamiin doesn't understand this at all.

Don’t. Do not. Do literally anything other than this. See a licensed therapist. Get a plant. Volunteer at an animal shelter. Shitpost 24 hours a day on Bluesky. Anything but this.

Firekeeper's Daughter Characters from left to right: Jaime (dress shirt and pants while looking west and upward; Daanis (green shirt while holding tobacco and wearing a medicine pouch necklace); Lily (red shirt and grey pants while looking east and upward). Other aesthetics: Background is dark blue with emblem designs based on the first book's design aesthetics. Foreground are the fires reminiscent of said book cover.
Originally planned for July 1 ala Angeline Boulley Day, here is some fan art I made to commemorate my cousin's 1st book #FirekeepersDaughter as I imagined the main characters would look like with my art style. Enjoy!

Selfie of me. I'm wearing a foresty-like tunic while in the woods during daytime.
A selfie from earlier this week.

Keep calling Visa, Mastercard, Paypal and Stripe.
I'm seeing less posts about the Visa and Mastercard situation and I want to make it plain as day. You need to keep calling and bothering them, and losing them money.
Because if we lose this, they are going to cut more and more from what's available until you can only buy what they approve of.

Back from my hiatus. Gonna post some art very soon.
05.08.2025 14:02 — 👍 4 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0As recommended by my fiancé, I'm taking a massive break from social media for the sake of my mental health.
I will be back at a future date, whenever that will be.
Quick digital sketch of a humanoid bee/wasp.
Something I quickly sketched because I really needed to draw something, anything, without thinking about it.
31.07.2025 00:37 — 👍 4 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0My fiancé reminded me how powerful art is on a political level, whether or not you use it for that purpose.
It's kinda helping me get out of my art funk of late and I'm gonna try to return making something very soon.
Also, making art is very therapeutic for me, personally.
(And I can't read the full article because it's behind a goddamn paywall. Fucking capitalism I swear.)

Yes it's exhausting to have more calls to make
But this *is* life or death
Censorship is the first stage of removing marginalized people from public life, and then from life itself
I have not made any art in over a month. All of the news stories relating to creativity gradually being censored is among the reasons why I haven't made anything new of late.
Sigh.
Hey. Hey.
Please don’t wait for an indie book series to be finished before you pick up the books. Just buy them. Don’t wait.
So MANY indie series never get finished because the author gets zero sales on the opening volumes and gives up.
Give them a reason to keep going.
Buy the books.
And yet, the HP fanbase can't let go of the property despite all of the harm JKR has done given her ongoing personal vendetta and aspirations to eradicate us trans and gender-noncomforming communities.
It's a reminder for me to never trust anyone who support creators who use their $ for that harm.
Switching gears to JKR given the connection of said headline:
Thankfully I never read the books but have seen all of the films (due to my ex's pleas for me to do so). Regardless of media format, the Wizarding World is very mid and overly problematic, given the author in question.
And yet...
I used to own all 28 volumes of Rurouni Kenshin until the news broke then of what type of person Watsuki really is. I immediately removed everything associated with him shortly after.
Similar to what I did in response to Alexie and Gaiman's works due to their own depraved tendencies.
Reach out to your favorite indie creators. They don't have big corporations behind them to push them in front of millions of eyes. Letting them know you enjoy their work can get them through their next project.
29.07.2025 12:14 — 👍 130 🔁 61 💬 0 📌 1Adding: SHARE THEIR FUCKING POSTS SO EVEN IF YOU CAN'T GIVE THEM MONEY SOMEONE ELSE CAN.
You might not have the money to commission them, someone who
follows you might. Likes don't show up on people's feeds, RTs and Quotes do.
My biggest criticism with Oda is he still supports his mentor Nobuhiro Watuski (Rurouni Kenshin) despite the fact the latter mangaka has lost my respect since then due to being a massive POS human being.
This is probably why I never was interested in One Piece despite its massive popularity.
I never explored delving into the One Piece series despite being fully aware of its evolution with representation over the years.
But yes, I would LOVE to see him surpass JRK in every capacity imaginable partially for that reason alone.
