Detail in Tenier's painting ‘Kitchen Scene’ (1644). Found in Anneke Bakker's book ‘Bekranst’, published by Waanders Uitgevers, 2024. According to Ms Bakker the white and decorated swan symbolizes love, fidelity and virginity.
