Yeah! Just to make the tabs when flipped less awkwardly to the side (with my suggestion at least)! Of course it's all about how correct it feels to you after the fact!

I absolutely love the motion!! These diegetic, interactive menus are my favorite to see and make!
If you're open to critiques at all, with some centering adjustments on the book, I believe making the tabs go past the covers and fold over might help make them appear more clickable even when open!

Okay after rereading this I sound really negative lol but let me be clear I am having a blast with this entry and especially with friends. I wanted to express mainly
• Yes the game does have issues
• Game has groundwork to be improved
• Still one of the better Mario Kart games and a blast at that

As of now, the game is has the groundwork to be updated on the future and I could honestly see this game become the absolute best in the series by the time all is said and done. Up to Nintendo to really make it happen though.

Overall though, I see this game as still a great Mario Kart game despite my diehard critiques. While I am a fan of this series, I don't want to come off as making this game seem like it is without issue or people are giving it negative opinions unjustly.

When it comes to the main gameplay though, it is easily the most satisfying Mario Kart has ever felt. I have never felt so inclined to play as every racer because every racer has such a distinct personality and never feels obviously worse than others. The movement is superb and incredibly enjoyable.

With the abundance of off-road and players, frontrunning is far too risky in these sections. You're better off hanging back in 5th and boosting at the final lap.
This creates an online experience where almost no one is happy playing the Connected Races and everyone is bagging.

Being forced into the less-interesting Connected Races not only decreases player's enjoyment, but decreases interesting driving because the best strategy for Connected Races is EASILY bagging.

It just seems this feature, while cool, doesn't seem to satiate the same as playing just the tracks.
This issue is especially apparent in Online. As someone who played A LOT of MK8DX online, it is disappointing the state of MKW online is in rn.

Surely if both modes utilize Connected Races so much, Grand Prix would offer more of the "3-lap" experience? I'd say GP would be even better if the Connected portions were quicker and you did at least 2 laps at the location.

It is especially confusing when Knockout Tour takes the Connected Races to the extreme and cuts out the location track laps altogether. It makes me wonder why they chose to have so much overlap in gameplay here.

I personally really enjoy the Connected Races but it is apparent that when these races take up the majority of gameplay instead of the more interesting actual location tracks, it's easy to see why some might see this game lacking much depth or interest.

While I recognize they're there to shakeup the formula, the new experiences fails to make up some aspects for the one we already had.

And no, the game is not worth $80 (no game is, really). But getting it as a bundled game (essentially $50), this game is going to pay forward the price as a player who enjoys playing this game.
MKW's Connected Races are a fresh idea that I feel take the spotlight a bit too much.

I want to say firstly that comparison between this game and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe; a game that's had over a decade to be updated, polished, and develop a community around is not a fair comparison no matter how you cut it. As a day 1 MK8 player, the amount of content was dire.

In reality, "Intermission" is the TIME between online versus races--not the race itself.

I'm noticing people calling the Connected Routes/Races between the courses "Intermissions". Which confuses me a little since that term was only used because of people assuming the "Intermission" option in the Nintendo Treehouse gameplay showing the option for a second was for that. #MarioKartWorld

After seeing much valid discussion on Mario Kart World, I'd say straight up I enjoy the game despite valid criticisms many have said.
My main worry rn though is that seasoned players er on the side of it feeling too casual while casual players seem to be intimidated by it. I hope that doesn't stick.

Seeing Switch 2 discussion has me thinking some people cannot stand the fact people can have fun with it.
I can understand being upset with the price but jesus can't we be silly with our Karting if we already have it 😵‍💫

Me getting a Switch 2 from the physical store with the most pre-orders in North America was not in the agenda but at least I can stare at it before I go to bed tonight and go to work tomorrow before I can play it now after 5 hours 🥲
