Probably my favorite slide from #foss4gna, given that all the map work I do is on web or mobile, it's essential that all the #gis capabilities are coming directly from the server/database, most often #postgis or #duckdb

I'm not using it extensively for geospatial work, but certainly using it for general software engineering, and my general position is that it should be treated as slightly more useful google search, and to treat it's results and suggestions as if you were reading it on a sketchy website lol-

As an ecology major, I originally was using gis to map American Ginseng for agroforestry studies, then literally mapping bird sightings lol-
