He was our biggest hype man and friend, but the devs keep treating him like a fridged woman trope. At this point, I want the wol to commit unethical soulbending in order to fuse the soul from the source with a shard of Harchefant from another reflection.

I absolutely agree with this take. Most of the fics I've written have him come back in some fashion. Also, I was really upset with DSR plot line. Even if all he got was a scratch, my wol would still go after Thordan.

The consistent theme of only bringing up Haurchefant in terms of his death and not of his life by the FFXIV marketing for shock value and cheap emotional marketing just seems to echo the growing trend of apathy towards their own game and it really does suck.

Every now and then I like to write. I have a few fics on Ao3 if anyone is interested.

There are times she regrets not being able to open up to anyone. Specifically to Haurchefant, who is one of the few people who, at the time she met him, saw her not as the Warrior of Light, but as Renna. His death was like losing her family all over again.

Renna doesn't talk at all about her past beyond a handful of years ago. She goes out of her way to avoid questions about her family, her village, or even what continent she came from. Her accent is distinctly Eorzean by the time she meets with the Scions.

My new FC helped me through Eureka. Even when they were offline or doing other things, I stuck with it because the content became more enjoyable for me because it was something I could do with them. I don't pvp often, but I probably wouldn't have pvp'd at all if not for FC friends.

Having good peeps to play with. Being in an FC where I feel like a valued member and friend definitely makes me want to come back. I absolutely enjoy hanging out in voice chat with my FC friends. Even when we're not active in discord, the FC chat is super fun to engage with.

I absolutely hate AI. One of the most fun parts about writing is seeing where the story takes you. Not only does ai rob other artists, but it also the experience of the creative process from the user. Ai should be used for detecting cancer, not stealing art.
