Why yes! My book has maps, plural even. Here's one of them, of the country of Wardenreach.
It has been drawn by the insanely talented Anna Fruhstorfer (not on Bluesky).
As the series progresses, the maps will, too.

Book one of Alchemical Green only takes place within Wardenreach (and in only a few places of the country, too). Book two expands into the surrounding world, but it all stays within the same continent.

In Alchemical Green, alchemy is based on 8 distinct Principles and the way you apply them (which requires concentration and willpower). When brewing a potion, it helps to use ingredients and methods corresponding to the target Principle.

I tend to write pretty hard magic systems. There's still wiggle room for surprises, but those are mainly from not having understood all the rules from the beginning. Alchemical Green is a bit harder than Dam Breakers.

In Alchemical Green, the main country is called Wardenreach. That name isn't coincidental, as the defining feature is an alchemical border ward protecting against the "savages"(the officials' words, not mine) outside.

Depending on where you have them now, there are importer plugins. But you could also just put new stuff in there and move the rest once you feel comfortable it works for you.

They say the best thing about role players is that they got character. Most often more than one.
That's definitely true here!

I think my (dis)advantage is that I was a #TTRpg dungeon master for many years before I started writing.
So usually I have a rough plot in mind, throw my #AwesomeCharacters into a situation, narrate the world and everyone else in it and see what they come up with.
