Anyways I've been reading through some shoulder surgery textbooks that I downloaded from Anna's Archive lately. Very slowly, on account of reading a lot makes my shoulder hurt.

Which would make it 32 years of this shit. Prove me wrong.

I've got a feeling that if I could take a time machine and get an mri of my glenohumeral joint during that 2-year period leading up to my accident when all those idiot doctors kept sending me back for ever-more physical therapy for my shoulder pain that I'd find pretty severe damage already.

The only reason I found out that the cartilage in my shoulder is pretty much all gone is because I got an MRI of the whole shoulder just to see what was there rather than a focused one based on the standard clinical examination tests that are slightly more scientific than water dowsing.

I should say that the vultures were like 2 miles away incidentally. Didn't mean to imply a literal connection. More like a poetic one.

but on the other hand patching up acute injuries on guys in way-better-than-normal shape has got to be the least challenging work for an orthopedic surgeon to do, which may help explain why these guys are always so clueless about anything chronic.
