groceries are expensive these days. when a big cut of meat goes on sale at my local store, I grab one. this is an 8lb pork shoulder cooked low and slow for 9hrs. it pulled beautifully, and I was able to portion, vacuum seal and freeze multiple portions for future meals

Japanese food is my favorite, but not one I cook at home all the time (that would be Tex-Mex and Italian-American food). Last weekend I took a stab at making proper chicken karaage, and it turned out great. I never deep fry at home, but this was worth effort.
