Never hated the design, but the issue is that they pushed it as his next big look; replacing his already iconic look since the early 80's.

Compared to Sonic's huge design shift that happened only 7 years after his debut, Pac-Man's was closer to 30, so obviously a harder pill to swallow.

If they do a 3 Re-Pac; most I'd ask is they keep the basic plot, but also not be afraid to take some creative liberties with it. Last we need is Erwin to come back still looking like an Invader Zim reject (heck make the Spectral Fiend the big bad instead). xD;;

True, and technically the original did too. Though it sounds like this one will have even more so; knowing even Pac-Man will be voiced this time.

So I didn't stay up for today's Partner Showcase, but I did catch it after waking up.

On the whole I agree it was kinda uneventful, but World 2 Re-Pac was the obvious highlight for me. That new "Adventures of Elliot" game looked kinda neat too, even knowing it's an action RPG in the HD-2D style.

Yoooo, what a neat surprise to wake up to~!

Even crazier knowing this Re-Pac will have voice acting (as Martin T. Sherman returning as Pac-Man no less).

I have my own thoughts & theories about what Bananza's story implies but; this is honestly a pretty solid theory too.

Honestly dig the idea that the Junior of the 80's became the adult DK of '94, and that that game's Junior would become the modern day DK. :)

Hella nitpick-y but it did bother me a bit that DK's fur was almost never its original shade again since it's so easy to max out on Bananergy.

Kinda wish there was a toggle to turn that off, especially when there's already another way to tell when you're maxed out.
