New state funding could bring a new elementary school to Middleton
State funding and donated land could bring a new school to Middleton to ease overcrowding—if voters reject a May bond.
And now Middleton is going to take advantage of legislation that was meant to provide state funding to rural areas of Idaho that don't have the tax base to build school facilities, rather than communities that have money but don't want to pay anything, like Middleton.

Voter accountability was not on their minds. None of the 8 senators will be running for reelection in 26, with the earliest set to face voters again in 28. Two are retiring next year. The agreement is almost as fragile as a Gaza Ceasefire. They'd do well to remember there's no honor among thieves.
