It's an absolute curb stomping for Louisville at the under-16 media timeout with a 75-42 lead and a 19-6 advantage in the second half alone.

Cards are averaging 1.56 PPP in the game, 1.90 PPP in the second half. All systems fail for the Wolfpack defense tonight.

Mikel Brown Jr. is up to 29 points after that transition dunk -- a career-high with 16:32 left to play.

NC State trails Louisville by 30, 70-40, and this one is all but over.

HALF: No. 24 Louisville 56, NC State 36

About as bad of a start as you can get for the Wolfpack, with Louisville going 8-of-11 on 3-pointers, winning the rebounding battle 24-11 and 12 made free throws compared to six attempts for NC State.

Brutal first half for the Pack.

Mikel Brown Jr. stays red hot with his career-high fourth 3-pointer on six attempts. The freshman point guard has 16 points on eight shots with two assists and six rebounds in 14 minutes.

Louisville has a 43-28 lead over NC State with 4:48 left in the first half.

Quadir Copeland's third turnover leads to a transition bucket for Mikel Brown Jr. to make it a 10-2 run and a 35-22 lead for Louisville.

Darrion Williams responds with a 3-pointer, Brown Jr. hits a 3-pointer and Williams hits another 3-pointer. It's a 38-28 lead for the Cardinals.

Matt Able with a strong start to this game in his first six minutes for NC State against Louisville. The freshman doesn't have a shot attempt yet, but has already generated two steals, one transition assist and a defensive rebound.

Louisville knocks down both free throws out of the break, but a Quadir Copeland layup and dunk gets the Louisville lead down to five points at 25-20 with 10:40 left in the first half.

Under-12: Louisville 23, NC State 16

Tre Holloman knocks down the first 3-pointer, then called for a foul on Ryan Conwell's 3-point attempt -- who makes all three. Ven-Allen Lubin gets a dunk, Terrance Arceneaux gets a block and a Holloman layup has the Pack within seven points.

Louisville goes on two separate 7-0 runs with NC State starting 2-of-7 from the floor and turning it over twice. The Cardinals are out to a 14-4 lead at the under-16 after starting 6-of-7 from the field with two 3-pointers, two layups and two dunks.

Quadir Copeland is fouled and misses both free throws. SMU gets the offensive rebound. Tre Holloman blocks the last shot and NC State wins it!

FINAL: NC State 84, SMU 83

SMU gets a 3-pointer to get the NC State lead down to three again at 84-81. Williams misses a jumper and SMU gets the rebound.

Copeland is now up to seven points, 10 rebounds and 16 assists with zero turnovers in this one. But SMU has a chance to tie it with 31 seconds left to play.

NC State is now 9-of-13 on 3-pointers in the second half after McNeil and Matt Able both hit 3-pointers to make it a 71-62 lead over SMU with 8:06 to play.

Quadir Copeland has assisted on 12 of State's 14 triples and now has a career-high 14 assists! 🤯

Ven-Allen Lubin gets a layup and Matt Able gets his first 3-pointer to make it a 61-60 lead with 10:51 left to play. This is the Wolfpack's first lead since it was 12-11 with 13:29 left in the first half.

Oh, and Quadir Copeland and Paul McNeil Jr. are checking back in.

Matt Able draws a foul and finishes the and-1, but before he's able to shoot the free throw, Sam Walters of SMU tries to walk through the NC State huddle and the two teams exchange words again.

SMU gets a bucket to make it a four-point lead, but Walters is called for a foul on the next play.

Quadir Copeland goes down and hurt his ankle. The play is stopped and Copeland tries to wave off the sub, but Wade brings him to the sidelines.

He's tied a career-high with 11 assists in this game already.

SMU leads NC State, 50-47, at the under-16 timeout.

Tre Holloman with back-to-back triples, both assisted by Copeland. Holloman is now up to 11 points and Copeland has 10 assists -- already tying his season-high with 15:27 left to play. Eight of Copeland's dimes have come on 3-pointers.

NC State still can't buy an offensive rebound in this one. SMU has rebounded 18 of NC State's 21 missed shots thus far with the Pack only hauling in two total offensive rebounds through the first 23 minutes of play.
