Been going through a somewhat frustrating time lately, but at least I can blow off some steam.

Since I'm on Arch, I have to install and tweak a lot of stuff by hand since most stuff is not installed by default. I have had to reinstall Arch so many times.

Despite all that, I find it fun? Feels like distro setups don't go far enough. Wish there was a better focus on that.

I think authentication system changes are always... "fun"... to do as most of the time they don't build it in so you have to tweak stuff yourself. (For example, I had to set up having my entire /home folder encrypted and mounted on login. Lots of configuration changes to PAM and pam_mount.)

Linux desktops environments are never perfect, but I've grown accustomed to using them. Haven't relied on Windows for years.

What are your primary use cases for your desktop machine? What desktop environment do you use?

In my case, gaming via STEAM/coding/web browser in KDE Plasma via Arch.
