I don't know Laudna since I did not watch Campaign 3. But I am alright with Grog and Caleb.

I get it... I am still hoping the weather report is wrong. It happens sometimes, especially because the dam here creates a sort of microclimate sometimes that keeps skies clear.

True but I'll still bitterly complain about it.

I do not trust my setup to be fully automated yet (and to be honest I don't want to make it automated because to me, half the fun is staying awake getting the pictures), so I generally only can observe on Fridays and Saturdays, as I have to work next mornings otherwise.

Decided not to assemble the squad last night because the weather report predicted clear skies for the weekend and it is always better to do astrophotography when I don't have to work the next day.
Today it predicts clouds and rain for the entire weekend and next week...

Or poor judgement. Who knows?

What the heck have I just watched?

That was a poor excuse not to get the SCT anyway. I used to carry my C9.25 to the local football field and that thing must have weighted upwards of 30kg (tripod and fork mount included).

Well worth the effort, though.

Ah, it has an integrated guide sensor, right?

Love Bode's Galaxy, damnit. Didn't know there was a 585 version of the air cameras.

I have bad experience with Skywatcher telescopes. I avoidit like the plague now :-D My askar 60F is great though.

Yeah... that's why I've avoided ZWO. It's great in terms of convenience, but I like to have options and most of their systems don't work outside the ZWO ecosystem. But hey, if it works for you, it works.

+1 for the 585 camera and galaxies (or small objects that don't need wide fields in general). I've been looking at the miniCam 8 for mono.

More expensive than a newt, though, no?

Fair, I generally go for the Bode galaxy nearby :-) I really need a bigger scope than my small 60mm refractor for galaxy photo. I have an old 10'' newtonian, but it's starting to look like it'll be cheaper to get a new one than to retrofit this one...

Amen. I still play the Aleph-one version every now and then.

Awesome. I guess the best way to know is just give it a try anyway.

Yeah but applying a heating band to a Ritchey-Chretien is more trouble than it's worth.

You know, there was a time when I could have categorically told you I don't need it (in regards to humidity). Over the past three years? I have no idea.

Any astrophotographers out there who happen to see this: How necessary do you think a dew shield is for a small RC telescope?

Yes, but that's not the point. I have Steam set up to English. The only way for the game to know to switch to Portuguese is by taking a peek at my system. I hate that.

I am not kidding: there are few things that piss me off more when getting into a videogame, than having the language changed to match my region (looking at you Outer Wilds).

emacs for me, recently. The shortcuts are a bit counter-intuitive, for what I'm used to, so the muscle memory needs retraining, but I kind of like it.

I have known this man for a decade or so and have never once heard him utter a curse word out loud. But man does this call for it.

I do. But I also still believe the octopus is secretly a shape-shifting alien bent on eating the crew no matter what you say on the subject ;-)
