Donald Trump says he is deploying troops to Portland, Oregon Apparently misled by hyperbolic reporting from conservative outlets on a single small protest, president described peaceful city as ‘war ravaged’

Trump became president, in large part, by using social media to inflame tensions and turn people against each other. Sending troops into cities is the physical equivalent of that strategy, with potentially deadly consequences. We cannot take the bait.
