A6: Looking toward futures that (continue to) disrupt traditional singular ways of thinking about “literacy” in classrooms, paving the way for the multitude of more equitable #literacies learning designs we might have instead

A6: Envisioning #literacies! "Relational witnessing" as pedagogy: the attunement to a child's meaning-making; methodologies that can bring the child's process, embodied labors, and materiality into the same frame... how we go back to the children.

A6. I love this question too & have been missing so much community. So a #literacies grounded community feels like a beautiful future to live into. It’s been nice to see friends in the space, even if my engagement isn’t what it once was w/ mama duties 💜

I have been thinking about this a lot recently— wondering if folks would be interested in collaborating on #literacies public scholarship. Building things together?

A5: Would love to see a #literacies chat that takes up (and returns us to) the topic of critical #literacies! How do we understand its communicative capacity to respond to this moment, its utility in naming injustice, and its promise in building more just social futures!

A6: I think a renewed vision of #globalliteracies will need to be part of the future(s) of our field. We have the human and technical tools to get there, so let's get to work! #literacies

A6: For this question, I return to the Bell quote that @anna-phd.bsky.social and @esp-phd.bsky.social evoked to start the chat: "We exist only in relation." In this moment, those relations are vital to our survival. I look forward to a continued #literacies community that exists far into the future.

A6: As an arts-based researcher interested in digital #literacies, I am super interested in a #literacies future that uses art as a way to critique and imagine the relationships we have with tech. As an extension, curious about how making/sharing artwork could make its way into #literacies chats!

A5: I really hope we can share more about what #literacies we engage in or have engaged in in our classroom teaching! As a current HS teacher, I’m always looking to make what I’m more engaging with my students. How have we brought together theory and practice ourselves? I'm so curious!

A5: I think topical #literacies chats that continue to speak to and empower action in light of the current sociopolitical context are really important.
