Remember the global financial crisis? Well, high-risk securities are back The shadow banking sector is trying its hand at trading in debt-based products such as collateralised loan obligations

Remember the global financial crisis? Well, high-risk securities are back.

Abolition of bankers' bonus has sent green light for reckless risk-taking.

Banks are slicing/dicing high risk debt for bigger profits.

Govts will bail them out again. Nothing learnt.

Large parts of adult social care in England face collapse, thinktank says.

The budget blamed but there are other factors.

Massive real cut in local govt funding since 2010.

Privatisation: 30%-40% of money vanishes in profits. Money buys less.

Sen. Bernie Sanders and a handful of Democrats will force the Senate on Wednesday to vote on a measure to block the sale of some $20 billion in U.S.-made weapons to Israel, in a last-ditch effort to limit the carnage, suffering and destruction caused by Israel’s now 13-month war in Gaza.

Israeli Court Rejects Netanyahu’s Bid to Delay Corruption Trial Testimony The court ruled that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu must take the stand on Dec. 2 in a trial that has stretched out for more than four years.

If you understand that Trump family friend Netanyahu is a career criminal who believes he'll end up in prison if he concedes power in Israel, you have a pretty good understanding of all the steps he took that helped cause October 7 and everything he has done since www.nytimes.com/2024/11/13/w...

Welby resigns. He didn't resign because of failing to report John Smyth's abuse of so many children, but because he was found out to have ignored and covered this up this for over 10 years. Vile.
