voospellingen varieren nogal. Zag er net één die het arriveren van de schokgolf rond 21h NL tijd plaatst, maar daar zit een grote onzekerheid in. Kan ook beduidend later zijn.

Vanavond/vannacht wordt de aankomst van een schokgolf van een uitbarsting van gisteren verwacht. Dat geeft mogelijk zichtbaar poollicht in ons land.

Ze hebben er nog drie: een recent gelanceerde radar-satelliet, en twee cubesats (Huygens en Birkeland) samen met de Noren.

Deze reentry is heel lastig te modelleren omdat het 'ruimteweer' op dit moment zéér omstuimig is, met de afgelopen dagen diverse uitbarstingen op de zon. Dat heeft invloed op de aardatmosfeer en daardoor komt hij de laatste dagen sneller omlaag dan vóór het weekeinde voorzien.

#BRIK-II, de in juni 2021 gelanceerde allereerste #defensie-satelliet van Nederland, komt ergens in de komende 24 uur omlaag en verbrandt dan in de atmosfeer, na ruim 4 jaar trouwe dienst.

It is perfectly possible (and imho the most likely) that we have a small fraction real hostile drones and a large fraction resulting drone hysteria.

We will not prove or disprove that with these fourth-hand imprecise descriptions of observations matched to flight tracks.

Reminds me of the "Chinese balloon" scare of a few years ago. When the US Air Force was shooting amateur radiosonde balloons.

Maybe we Dutch ought to resurrect two similar panels just outside the cemetary boundary.

I hear you. Once during archeological fieldwork, while jumping a small ditch, inadvertently jumped right into a clump of giant Hogwood I somehow missed, luckily for me while in coverall and with workgloves on so it did not turn out dramatic....

Reminds me of an archaeological dig I was participating in, 30 yrs ago, camping in the field. Walked past the latrines one evening (trenches with planks over them), and heard a voice from the latrines exclaim in despair: "Oh damned, I dropped my torch in the shit!"

This was a difficult object to model in our reentry model: very eccentric orbit (brief dips below 1540 km), and indications of changing attitude =- changing drag area

This is likely the reentry of a Chinese CZ-3B upper stage, object nr 44867, 2019-090D

You would expect that from a Miss Norway rather than a Miss Chile
