Delighted to have a second poem published in The Spectator this week
Huge thanks to the excellent poetry editor Hugo Williams and the great Arts Editor Clare Asquith

Another by Mark Strand from The New Yorker, this one for the completist. An early version of "The Coming of Light" (one of his most celebrated poems), "Late" was never collected, and hence, has been relegated to the dustbin of literary history. Enjoy!
I like Samantha Terrell’s poetry for her strong social conscience and sharp, observant commentary on life. Collaborating with Samantha is always a pleasure. She is thoughtful and inspiring to work with. Samantha is EIC of Shine Poetry Quarterly, you can find her on Bluesky: @shinepoetry.bsky.social
It is so worrying.
What's the point of a world where AI writes poetry with no heart, that's reviewed and reposted by AI with no understanding... Social media is already awash with vacant, meaningless bots conversing with bots. It's so sad.
The price wasn't my point!
Sorry @tamaryoseloff.bsky.social, @jsaphra.bsky.social, @poetryinaldeburgh.bsky.social, but is this what you're about, really?
Really disappointed in the Uni of Suffolk for promoting a supposed creative poetry workshop with this hideous #AI poster.
What are you going to get for your £15 ticket? "Type 'Hey ChatGPT, write me a poem'"?
So much for solidarity with other creative disciplines huh?

We are so excited to be on Bluesky!
This year’s festival is from the 5th-8th November. Will we see you there?
With huge thanks to Vici MacDonald and Andrew Lindesay for creating our beautiful logo 🌊 💛
