It’s hard to keep going if you don’t see a positive return or a growing audience . It feels like you are on the wrong track and should rethink it all. Also one shitty, persistent troll can just make people just quit.
One thing I that came to mind at SXSW is that AI generated content might be like 90s “multimedia” in that the money people loved the idea, but consumers hated it.
First thing I see at SXSW is this retro tech themed speakeasy that requires a password to enter.
I think Ive found my people
Enshittification at its finest
Obviously all the drones will appear coming through the portal on Skinwalker Ranch. Duh.
Saw a guy at Trader Joes wearing a Scooter’s Record t-shirt last Sunday. It was not Chris though
First episode of "Fill In The Blanks", a new series that is part of the Into The Vertical Blank podcast. In this series we try to do and create things we've never done before. In this first episode we try to tackle chiptune music.

I tried it 6 years ago after playing OW1, and I had the same response. Supposedly there will be remastered version and that might be the one to try.
OW2 is fir people who want Fallout New Vegas in space
Finished Avowed. You can tell it and Outer Worlds 2 were made by the same studio. They both have a similar way of gating progress, similar way of handling action in an RPG and a similar form of branching stories and outcomes. They also both have a location named Paradis(e) and similar endings.
Jeff and I started new thing where we are trying to finish these we’ve started in the past but failed. Maybe because we are running out of time? The first one is making music on the Pokey and YM2149 . Mission accomplished.
Ditto. I totally understand.
What happened?
So.Many.Things.
Hi Jamie.
Hi Peter.
Hope you guys are well.
I’m pretty sure there was no “plot to destroy rock and roll”. That sounds like crazy-old-man talk.
Avowed is like the Reese’s peanut butter cup (1970s version the gross modern ones) of RPGs, mixing western gameplay with lots of JRPG elements. It’s like a very “talky” DQ11 with better leveling and crafting
A story and video about VCF So. Cal. 2026.
intotheverticalblank.com/2026/02/25/t...
For our next podcast we visited VCF So. Cal. 2026. I wanted to create "Pop Art Atari ST" for the thumbnail. I was just curious as to how AI might deliver this. As expected, it "looks very AI". (left) My hand-done version doesn't look AI (right) (to me). I'm going with mine. No. A.I.
Oh wow, of course I missed all that.
It was strange in the 2000s when the Dave Wakeling version of the beat became, pretty much, a local bar band.
However, Avowed feels rougher than tOW2. The map does not show the local region, most NPCs act like animatronic dolls, and the overall world feels a bit disjointed. I'm enjoying it, but also a bit sad that tOW2 will be the last in that series.
You would not be totally wrong if called "Avowed" "Pillars Of The Outer Worlds 2". There is lot of familiar lore from the PoE games and lot of the gameplay style of tOW2. There is new stuff in Avowed too: The "camp" reminded of Dragon Quest 11 while the weapon upgrades felt a bit like Diablo 3.
Yep!
$5.00 +300% reading glasses in every corner of the house…
Yeah. That’s us. Hopefully they will have a good gaming setup in the GenX retirement village.
I loved the PC version but I can see how console version could be fun too as long as you can control the text size
Started Avowed on the PS5, or should it be called “Pillars Of The Outer Worlds” ? I loved Pillars Of Eternity and Outer Worlds1/2, so
I think this is going to be fun. One issue so far: the conversation text it far too small for these old eyes..
In this episode we finish-up Atari Now! (for now) to make way for something new.

Yes “everyone can build an app now” and when no is left who knows how they work can protect or debug them, they will all come crashing down when the inevitable AI malware hits
I think Bad Bunny got more yards carrying than all of the Patriots
