The author wrote books about Mole until was into his 50s and each one is funnier than the last. Nothing about retro games of course, but frickin’ hilarious.

We were able play a bunch of new Atari released 7800 games, most are very impressive

Today I finally get to go visit my brother after a few months and hopefully record a new podcast in the same room and play a few games . I know, “cry me a river Mr. First World” but it’s still hard when your twin moves away and you don’t see them very often

By the way, they “high capacity” print cartridges along with standard one, but they are the same size. So the standard ones are just not all the way up then? Nice HP, very Nice.

My HP printer just ran out of blue ink. So I tried to put in an old cartridge that I thought might be less than empty and it accused me of being a “criminal” and refilling it instead of buying a new one. Right there, on the little screen, it told me to *I* was the problem.

Maybe I don’t dismiss and rather seek out those “non conformist “ voices because I have a different experience? It’s One of those things I’m still trying to figure out I guess , which also probably why I’m so apt to myself into the story. A therapist might be able to unpack it!

I am aware of this type of response, but for me, the first time I ever played Atari was at my friend Carrie’s house, and most avid game player I’ve ever known (besides my twin brother and myself) was my older sister Marz (RIP) who was also the first punk rocker I ever knew. So I react differently.

I was not really aware of any “reputation” except for that I associated your name with some good, depth stories from the “Atariage” (so to speak) that I had not seen done elsewhere. I think all of history is fertile ground for myth busting/correction , and i love hearing about seldom sung voices.

I once worked (free of course) for a small online game publication, and the editor forced a single style. Every review I did made him mad. Little did I know his plan was to sell our work (without compensation) to 3rd party and it needed to all be uniform.

Audible has Cliff Stoll’s “The Coocoo’s Egg” for free right now. I had my wife and son listen on the way home from San Jose yesterday. Both loved it., I was happy to hear it again after reading -35 years ago too. It still holds up very well.

Okay, “nice” but also sincere. When I find an author I like, I kinda want to read all their stuff.
FWIW I too try to find seldom told stories too. Most of them end up being memoirs though , which probably somewhat ruins any research value they may contain.
