I spent the past ~5 days mostly disconnected from technology and normal life partying it up at a Board Game Convention in Bryce Canyon with my best friend and others. It happened to coincide with my big 5-0 birthday as well (thanks to everybody who sent b-day wishes...sorry for not replying).

Of the new-to-me games, some of the faves quickly made it into our collection while a few moved from my ‘shelf of opportunity’ to a ‘previously owned’ status.

My most frequent gaming partner was my wife and I love that she’s so willing to play games with me, new and old. I attended 7 different game conventions and had a great time meeting up with friends and making new friends.

My 2024 Board Game Year in Review
Wowzers! 2024 was an epic gaming year for me. I played more games with more people than I have in many years.
I logged a total of 646 plays of 166 games, 91 of which were new-to-me (26 of which were previously owned games that I finally got around to playing).
I finally re-read the original Ali Baba stories. So fun.
I love the stories that come from this game. In the last game we played, two of us managed to get an encounter into the Dusky Land and the results were so different for both of us. It was a wonderfully fun time.
I really need to learn this game. Looks like good fun

A big THANKS to all those that generously donated money, time and fun. We had a successful Extra Life game day on Saturday and raised over $1500 for kids at Primary Children’s Hospital.

This is awesome news. This is one of my all time favorite games. My Zman copy is well played…we only get it to the table a couple of times each year but we thoroughly enjoy every play.
I’m super excited to see what updates and improvements you bring to an Anniversary edition.
