Let’s be clear: the whole thing is a con. TikTok could’ve kept the app rolling on Sunday but by shutting down & mentioning Trump, he gets to be the savior. One of many examples of companies & billionaires bowing down.

It’s BS. But it’s also the reality. Let’s not give Trump anymore opportunities 👍🏾

Just a reminder of some of the context around the TikTok ban: In 2020, Trump tried to ban it via executive order a couple months after K-pop fans used it to organize fake signups to Trump’s Tulsa rally, which led him to publicly overestimate how large the crowd size would be.

Two reminders:
1) Trump initiated this ban on August 7, 2020 with an Executive Order
2) Our leaders can’t get anything done to actually protect us, but they were able to ban TikTok

I’m kinda torn if I even want to go back to TT if “Trump” saves it….. I’m a social media nomad now. But I can’t get through another 4 years of Trump without something to connect with you all and commiserate.
