I decided to watch a new (to me) music documentary each night during the week while Jenn is gone. I made the right choice for Night Two. This film is fantastic. ⭐️

I’m a bachelor for a week after my wife left for a business conference this morning, and things are getting pretty wild around mine. Just poured a martini and put in a frozen pizza, and I’m about to press play on the Lilith Fair documentary. This is bliss.

Holy shit. I just discovered the “Let Down” trend on TikTok and my heart wasn’t ready. I’m thrilled that Gen Z discovered my favorite Radiohead song. The track has even cracked the Billboard Hot 100 chart (at No. 91), becoming the band’s fourth song to do so.

Annie’s solo set was incredible. But I remember being annoyed at all the rude folks who clearly didn’t know who she was and wouldn’t shut up while she played. Then she joined the National for a stunning version of “Green Gloves” and won over new fans who should have just listened to her opening set.

Looks like September 9 is already shaping up to be another stacked day of live music in the Twin Cities—Japanese Breakfast at the Palace, Bonny Light Horseman at Fine Line, and Wet Leg at First Ave. I’ll be seeing the Isle of Wight rockers that evening, but good choices all around.
