Today is a day I was really feeling the burn out and overwhelm and sadness and anxiety. On days like that I try to find at least one moment of beauty. This is mine from today, one of the trees near where I work in bloom.

It is so easy to feel burnt out by everything going on. Take the time you need for self care. We need rest in order to keep resisting what is going on. Especially when you are in the groups being targeted. Our joy and well being are not negotiable.

Wonder if Elon could survive a week on the salary we make. While he burns through $8 million a day, the working class struggles—yet he paints us as the enemy.

Flower seen on my walk. I’m actively looking for moments of beauty these days as a counterbalance to everything going on. Those moments won’t fix things but give me the strength to keep stepping forward.

Reminder to take a moment to breathe and remember our joy. Our joy is not expendable. We need it to fuel our resistance to the things going on right now.

They removed all mention of trans people from the Stonewall national monument page, a movement headed by trans women of color & gender non conforming people. They are trying to erase trans people & our history. We have always existed & we will continue to exist whether they want us to or not.
