"Straightphobia" is not real. There is no societally enforced prejudice against straight people like there is everyone else. Just like you cant be racist to white people because it requires a societal factor, not just a random person saying "I hate white people" to no actual effect whatsoever

Also Minorities seeing subtext and headcannoning characters as gay in a world where straight is the default and violently enforced norm is not the same as the bigotry inherit in "This lesbian should be with a man". That's like saying blackwashing a character is real. It just makes you look stupid

It's "just fiction" except there are real people behind the screen, and when people's behaviour forms a pattern of disrespecting lesbians then why would I trust them to respect irl lesbians? What you say online doesn't exist in a fucking vacuum and all art is political due to ingrained prejudice

Except it doesn't work in reverse because "straightphobia" doesn't exist. Intent doesn't matter because you can perpetuate bigotry without intending to. This entire post was about blocking people that are actively being lesbiphobic about it.
