My pocket-sized review of
INLAND EMPIRE;

This film (INLAND EMPIRE) was a real trip, blurring the lines between the real and the imagined. It’s not an easy watch at all and it laments at length the effect that Hollywood can have on an actor. Nothing as trite as marks out of ten here. This was fierce acid. It’s more art than box office.

Today is Twin Peaks episode #1 day. I watched the first half hour yesterday so we’ve had the death of Laura Palmer and the subsequent mourning.

I’m halfway through this on my David Lynch odyssey. I’m giving myself a couple of months to watch all his major work. Including Twin Peaks 1-3. Hence two months.

I’m about to have a David Lynch career retrospective. My brain needs a good kicking.

On David Lynch;
One of the few truly original sets of eyes and ears in film. He actually made a contribution to the art, not just by recycling old themes & dialogue for a buck. Totally unconventional, but he brought that through into the everyday. I really hope he’s still questing somewhere. 💔

I’ve been thinking about where I grew up recently. I was very lucky as it was awesome for kids.

When I become a Crypto billionaire, I’ll swing some kind of purchase order on all the houses & have them all restored, as they’re now run down and that’s sad.

Mind you, they say you can never go back.😭
